Vinicius Jr Extends Apology to The Madrid Club Fans
Vinicius Jr has netted five finishes in 10 Spanish league outings this season.
Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has said sorry to the fanbase for his reaction when taken off in the recent heated El Clasico win.
Vinicius was taken off in the 72nd minute and expressed his disappointment by walking immediately down the tunnel.
He subsequently came back to the bench and, after his club's 2-1 victory, sought to engage Barcelona's youngster Yamal during unsavoury final whistle incidents.
"This day I want to express regret to all the supporters for my behavior when I was substituted in the derby," the player posted on his account.
"Similarly to I have previously expressed during the latest practice, I would like to express regret anew to my colleagues, the club, and the president.
"Occasionally emotion takes over me because I continuously aim to win and help my club. My winning mentality originates in the passion I hold for this club and all it stands for."
He moved to the Spanish capital from Brazil in recent years for a significant fee and has notched triple figures in numerous matches.
But his future in the La Liga is unclear with reports in the past few months indicating that Real would think about permitting the player leave if they got a good proposal.
When he was replaced on the match day, cameras from broadcaster Dazn captured him stating: "It's always me! I'm departing the side! It's wiser if I go, I'm going."
In his most recent post on X, the athlete said: "I vow to keep striving constantly for the welfare of Real Madrid, as I have done since the first day."
